Youth Spaces

Visible Ink is part of Brisbane City Council’s Youth Program. Part of the program offers physical spaces (buildings) to young people under 26 and organisations supporting them. The space provides facilities to meet for organised activities and resources to help people get together, get involved, get heard and get active in the life of Brisbane. It also provides onsite support from staff that can help you plan your ideas and connect to others that can help.

Why is there a Visible Ink Space?
Council has listened and responded to an issue identified by young that there’s a lack of safe, well-resourced and accessible venues for young people to meet and get involved in projects that are important to them. THE SOLUTION – to develop, manage and resource an ideal space for young people in the Valley, as well as support other spaces at Wynnum, Mt Gravatt and Milton.

Who can use the Visible Ink Space?
People aged 12 – 26, organisations that support young people and others by negotiation with Visible Ink staff.
